Repair of the Sikora equipment began with the fault code "help" being displayed on the CP500 controller screen. Two conditions that cause this fault to be displayed are failure of the sensor diodes or breakdown of communications between the CP500 and the LD30XY sensor unit.
After confirming the controller parameter codes where correct, the output signals from the sensor diodes were observed to see if the sensor were detecting objects. The sensors showed no functions and the damage was located on the main control circuit board of the LD30XY unit. Repairs were made to the sensor control board and operations to the sensors are now functional.
